Beddeleem strives to perform all its activities in a safe and healthy environment.

The production process based on a strict safety policy rests on the key elements mentionned below.

For the fitting of system walls, lowered ceiling systems, office furniture and the total fit-out on the construction sites, Beddeleem introduced the VCA safety management system in 2000.

The VCA certificate was awarded to Beddeleem for the first time on 25 February 2000 and is valid until 20 August 2027.

The company’s safety policy rests on the following key elements:

Minimising risks to own staff and third parties in company buildings and on sites

  • managing risks (inventory, evaluation)
  • ensuring good and regularly inspected facilities, machinery and work equipment.
  • making available workable procedures

High level of commitment and awareness on the part of the employees when realising the safety objectives and minimising incidents and accidents.

Preventing personal injuries and material damage

  • ensuring maximum collective protection
  • dividing workstations and work zones efficiently and safely and marking them out where necessary
  • providing additional personal protective equipment

Maintaining internal and external communication aimed at continuing optimisation of all aspects of health and safety

  • further developing and formalising the administrative support system
  • providing consultations in order to regularly evaluate and discuss the health and safety risks and where necessary adopt preventive and corrective measures

Training own employees so that everyone can carry out their own work in a safe and healthy manner

  • providing specific safety training courses
  • permanent internal training, toolbox meetings, ...

Aiming for continuous improvement of safety performance by formulating safety objectives annually and achieving the overall prevention plan and annual action plan.
